Spiral pointed taps are designed with a downward-facing chip row, making them ideal for tapping pre-drilled through holes. They are not recommended for tapping blind holes. Made of high-speed steel, they offer significantly improved heat resistance, hardness, and wear resistance, thus extending their service life. Used for cutting new threads or repairing damaged threads, they provide a smooth tapping experience. Suitable for low-carbon steel, thin stainless steel, aluminum, etc., but not for high-hardness materials such as high-carbon steel.
