• Can I store documents alongside my laptop?

  Yes. The Laptop Safe provides additional room for documents, passports, external drives and other valuables.

• Is the Laptop Safe suitable for home offices?

  Yes. It is ideal for home offices, students, remote workers and households looking to securely store laptops, tablets and important documents.

• What batteries does the safe use?

  The safe operates using four AA batteries installed inside the battery compartment.

• What happens if the batteries run out?

  Emergency override keys are supplied, allowing access to the safe if the batteries become depleted.

• How do I replace the batteries?

  The batteries are housed in an internal battery compartment located inside the safe door.

  1. Open the safe using your PIN code or the emergency key.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
  3. Remove the battery cover and take out the old batteries.
  4. Insert new alkaline batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-).
  5. Refit the battery cover securely.
  6. Test the keypad to confirm the batteries have been installed correctly.
     
     

  Tip: Replace all batteries at the same time and use high-quality alkaline batteries for optimum performance. Your PIN code settings will remain stored during battery replacement.

• What happens if I forget my PIN code?

  You can access the safe using the supplied override keys and then reset the PIN code.

• Can I change the PIN code?

  Yes. You can easily programme and update your 3 to 8 digit PIN code.

  Open the safe and press the internal reset button before entering a new PIN code.

• What triggers the alarm?

  The 130dB alarm activates after a force attack or following three incorrect PIN code entries.

• Can I turn off the keypad sound?

  Yes, the safe includes a silent mode option that disables keypad and opening sounds.

• Does the safe lock after incorrect PIN attempts?

  Yes. After repeated incorrect PIN entries, the keypad automatically locks for a temporary period.

• Can the safe be secured to a wall or floor?

  Yes. The safe is supplied with fixing points for easy and secure installation.
